BJJ Beginner’s Classes
There's nothing more fulfilling and fun than learning a new choke or a new way to defend yourself. BJJ can really help you feel more powerful than you've ever felt.
Suddenly working out is so much fun that you're finding excuses to go to the gym instead of avoiding the gym.
Don't get thrown into the deep end.
In a lot of BJJ gyms, there are no beginners classes. People are just expected to show up to a normal class some day and just survive while people heavier, stronger, and more experienced than them shred them apart.
If they have beginner's classes, it's mostly a loose selection of random techniques that are seen as "basic" with no common thread or overarching theme. We try to do things differently.
Our beginner's program
2 Months Program
Our evergreen and repeating beginners program teaches you everything you need to know in just two months.
Overarching system
Instead of focussing on random techniques, we focus on helping you see the bigger picture. So you can always orient yourself.
Good Vibes
We ensure our beginner's classes are a fun and easy-going environment so everyone can learn in a safe space.
Review Classes from home
All techniques from the beginner's classes are recorded. So you can practice with your friends on the open mats.
What you'll know at the end of the beginners classes
- A strong understanding of the basic 4-step system of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- How to escape from the most common bad positions
- How to attack from your back without getting in trouble
- How to get around people's legs and hold them down
- How to take someone down
Finding our No Gi BJJ gym in Gent
Company: Stark Ghent VZW
Address: Nijverheidskaai 3c, 9040, Belgium
Finding the entrance
You can just click the map above to find the easiest route to the gym. But sometimes people have a hard time finding the entrance because it's a bit hidden. That's why we're adding some extra instructions.
If you go to the location on the map below, you'll find a bike store named "Grand Départ" to get to the gym, you need to walk through the parking and walk in through the red gate on the right. There you'll see a tent, the door is under the tent on the right.
Parking instructions
Sadly, we're not allowed to park in the parking lot of the bike store or next to the gym. That's why you will need to park on the street.
